Cheran speaks for Bharathiraja’s silence

Director Bharathiraja, the chief guest at the audio launch of Ameer’s ‘Yogi’ chose to remain silent and sat along with the audience, refusing to step on the dais. It’s not the first time he is avoiding an honor like this. In recent times the ace director is not seen in any functions and even if he is compelled to come, never gives a speech.

This puzzled everyone and even the media. Everybody was worried and was keen to know the reason behind this vow of silence. Thank goodness, we got to know the intention from director Cheran.

“Bharathiraja is a father for us all, those who are in the filmdom. He is carrying out a ‘Mauna Viratham’ and is keeping himself away from all celebrations and get-togethers. Do we know the reason? Is it because he has no money or work? People should start thinking at least now before it’s too late. This ‘Mauna Viratham’ is to bring in the common sense and feelings to our People. Bharathiraja is doing this to kindle the spirit in every Tamil’s heart to fight in opposition to the injustice against our blood relations out there in Sri Lanka. The Tamils in Sri Lanka are being tortured and under arrest, enclosed within prickly fences. We need to do something and fight for those innocent souls. I salute his endeavor,” notified Cheran.

Sadly not only in this island nation but, same kinda genocides are happening allover the world. Humanitarian actions are needed in all places. As of now we all can pray for them!
